Some news from the Frankfurt book fair...:
"According to both the publishers Egmont (who hold the right for the English edition of Asterix [1-24]) and Orion (who already publish [25-31] and would love to publish the others as well) there won't be any new English edition / reprint of the first 24 adventures until at least end of next year. Egmont states the problem is Hodder-Dargaud (the previous publisher) who don't sell the translation by Bell and Hockridge to Egmont. Even an edition with a new translation seems to be impossible as Hodder claims it would automatically imply copying of parts of the old texts. No good news... sorry."
